The Act
Myanmar security forces conducted clearance operations against the Rohingya Muslim minority in Rakhine State, involving mass killings, rape, arson of villages, and forced displacement of more than 700,000 people into Bangladesh.
The Response
The International Court of Justice ordered provisional measures against Myanmar. The International Criminal Court has an investigation open. Myanmar denies genocidal intent. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya remain in refugee camps.
